Job Description

RAD Studio is seeking a full time, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and experienced Design Architect or Architectural Designer to join our team!

Architect / Designer must be very proficient in sketching, diagramming, and 3D modeling schematic designs, as well as drawing architectural plans in Revit. Must have on-going recent experience in developing residential and commercial concepts through sketch iterations, 3d massing and rendering.

This individual will be working in a boutique studio environment and will be part of a team working on various types of projects ranging from: contemporary custom homes, neighborhoods and accessory dwelling units, multi-family housing projects, commercial tenant improvements, office spaces and various public projects . This individual must be able to develop sets of construction documents using Revit and Enscape software and be attentive to detail in documentation. Rhino, Photoshop and SketchUp experience a plus.

Salary will be based upon the individual's skill level, design education, licensing, work experience, proficiency with Revit, and understanding of the California Building Codes for residential and commercial projects.

Ability to relocate to Redding is preferred but remote work situations are also possible.

The Primary responsibilities of the successful candidate include:

• Leading project concept design along with the Principal Architect and leading the project from schematic design into construction documents for residential and commercial projects, utilizing Revit software.
• Work directly with the Principal Architect to create concepts, schematic plans & models, and client presentations
• Apply strong organizational and communication skills to meet simultaneous project deadlines & coordinate with project team, consultants and clients.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate and apply appropriate resolutions

Minimum Qualifications :

• Minimum of 5 years of recent residential & commercial building design experience in Revit software, in all phases of the design process
• Licensed Architect preferred
• Revit: 3 years Required, 5 years preferred
• Lumion, Enscape, or Vray rendering experience preferred
• Experience in managing projects and leading others in project development a plus
• Able to meet minimum part time employment of 32 hours per week
• Architecture degree from 4 or 5 year program and portfolio of projects to review
• Demonstrates proficiency in ability to efficiently read and interpret both architectural and structural drawings quickly and accurately
