At Passerine, we are excited to bring a high-level Indian dining experience to NYC. Opening at the end of October, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional food and service, inspired by the Michelin-starred vision of our talented Chef Chetan, who earned accolades in DC last year. Our goal is to create a memorable dining experience that reflects the rich flavors and traditions of Indian cuisine while aiming for a Michelin star in our new home.

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Server Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support our servers and ensure that guests receive an exceptional dining experience. If you have a passion for hospitality and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Help set up and clean dining areas, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Refill water and bread, clear empty plates, and maintain cleanliness throughout the dining room.
• Communicate effectively with the serving team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Assist in managing the flow of service during busy periods.
• Support the team with any additional tasks as needed, contributing to a positive and collaborative environment.
• Uphold the restaurant's high standards of service and contribute to a memorable dining experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
