If you said yes to all of this, we want you!f The Prudential Center Entertainment social media team is a true collaborative unit, where all voices, minds and ideas contribute to the collective output of the venue’s voice and brand!

We are seeking a full-time creative Entertainment Social Media Coordinator to join one of the entertainment industry’s best social media squads. With concerts, combat sports, college basketball, and family shows, the Entertainment Social Media Coordinator will cover a variety of incredible events that visit Newark every year. Reporting directly to the Director of Social Media and Strategy, this position is responsible for the strategy, content conceptualization, and publishing to the Prudential Center social media platforms.

This passionate, hardworking person will also play a key role in driving live event coverage, campaigns, stunts, marketing promotions, community initiatives, partnership activations, and more. You will be part of a coordinated marketing team, so having a good understanding of the full marketing mix across Creative, Media and Production is a plus.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:

  •   Support the Director of Social Media and Strategy with day-to-day management of social content calendars (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), ensuring all event information is shared with relevant parties and seeking approvals where needed
  • Assist the Content team to develop a consistent brand voice, posting cadence and engaging concepts for Prudential Center social media channels
  • Serve as a “boots on the ground” content producer for Prudential Center, by collecting content with fans, performers, influencers, etc.
  • Use analytics and data to advise content creation and cadence
  • Assistance in Prudential Center social media coverage, including concerts and special events, arena experiences, food and beverage offerings, and activations as required
  • Help steer the Prudential Center Entertainment Marketing Content & Social strategy and representation on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube and any other digital outlets where music fans congregate online at scale
  • Assist in fan engagement and customer service performed via social media by tracking of sponsored social media and content campaigns and programs
  • Assist in development and design of graphic and video assets to be pushed out to social platforms, including Reels, TikToks, memes, etc.
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of music and culture, spotting storytelling opportunities and social trends to bring to the team for consideration, working to turn around assets quickly to drive buzz and engagement real time.
  • Conceptualize and implement social-first creative as part of a team to produce ground-breaking content including Reels, TikToks, etc.
  • Produce sponsorship, marketing, brand, community, corporate communications, and human resources content via social media.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  1-2 years of experience in social media, preferably for an entertainment-focused organization
  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools
  • Bachelor’s/post-secondary degree in Marketing, new/digital media, communications, or related field
  • Shown skills and solid experience in developing a strong brand copywriting
  • Professional experience using all major social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
  • Professional experience in shooting and editing vertical video content (ie. Instagram Reels and TikToks) is a requirement
  • Professional experience in graphic design, including Adobe Photoshop, video editing, including Adobe Premiere Pro. Experience using Blinkfire Analytics and Asana a plus
  • Passionate about a career in the entertainment industry
  • A deep understanding of how to implement and complete a brand voice on social media
  • Strategic thinker, creative storyteller with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of poise, integrity and professionalism with the ability to prioritize workload and address problems quickly
  • Results driven with ability to set and deliver on priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industry and department with timelines and ever-evolving projects

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal travel during the year
  • Physical Demands: Minimal camera lifting and holding phones for content collection.
  • This position generally requires that work be performed from the Prudential Center/New Jersey Devils offices, but attendance at events taking place in the arena or offsite, including on weekends and/or holidays, may be required
  • This role requires in-person attendance during events but there might be opportunities to work from home
