Job Description

Role: Junior Accountant (Entry Level/Accounting Grad)

Hiring Type: Contract to Hire

Location: Washington DC

In office  : 3x week

Pay: 28 hr Salary Conversion 60-65k (after 90 days)

 

Our client, an extremely prestigious and historical organization is looking to add a Junior to their team. They are looking for someone who is eager to learn, grow and expand their accounting experience.

 

Requirements

·B.S., Accounting or business related

·1-3 years of experience related to accounting (AP/AR etc.)

·Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot table VLook up)

Responsibilities

  • You'll tackle monthly financial reconciliations, help manage our financial systems, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements..
  • Prepares and processes journal entries for non-recurring reclassification requests.
  • posts monthly entries.
  • Prepares and records other month end journals and accruals.
  • Support financial statement audits by preparing and responding to Prepared By Client (PBC) requests and other audit inquiries.
