Market Data BA with Vendor Management Experience

MUST be local to NYC, Hybrid at least 3 days onsite

Salary: up to $200k base

Areas of responsibility:

Business Analyst

• Strong knowledge and understanding of market data products and data used in a commercial investment bank, by users in Fixed Income, Equities and Investment Banking.
• A partner to the business and comfortable engaging with users of market data products.
• Experience and successful at running savings programs such as comparing services and optimization of products.
• Present market data financials to the business.

Vendor Management

• Experienced negotiating commercials with data providers.
• Ability to partner with vendors to ensure our user requirements are met.
• Solid understanding of licensing of market data products and entitlements.
• Understand of procurement and souring processes including TPRM.

Inventory and Financial Management

• Hands on experience of market data inventory platforms such as TRG and MDM
• Understand moves adds and changes procedures across different market data products
• Familiar with invoice reconciliation and processing
• Has worked with finance for furcating and budgeting of market data expenses.

Candidate Qualifications

Required background, skills and experience

• 7+ years’ experience in commercial market data roles (Business Analyst and Vendor Management)
• Expert with market data products and data used in commercial investment banks
• A partner to end users and ability to build and cultivate relationships at all levels
• Strategic commercial negotiator with market data vendors
• Strong understand of market data financials (inventory, accruals, forecasting, budgeting)
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong presentational skills
• Power BI experience desirable
