This position is part-time IMTI is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of human anatomy, some familiarity with medical massage techniques, and an unwavering dedication to providing exceptional care. Responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments, administering specialized therapies, collaborating with healthcare professionals, educating clients on self-care strategies, and maintaining detailed records. Qualifications for this role include certification as a Massage Therapist, with experience in medical massage and sports injuries being advantageous. Candidates should also demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics, possess excellent communication skills, exhibit a passion for continuous learning, and be flexible with their scheduling. • Support a positive working environment for both clients and staff through relationship building and team development
• Prepare the massage table and necessary products to apply to the client’s skin
• Use therapeutic massage techniques to deliver a safe and exceptional customer experience that meets their needs and desired results
• Offer general wellness maintenance advice to clients such as stretching and strengthening techniques
• Evaluate each client’s physical condition, stress level, and medical history to determine the most effective types of massage for their course of treatment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be excellent at communication and interpersonal relationships
• Licensure must comply with state and local laws and regulations
• Must have worked as a massage therapist in a professional setting for at least one year

Massage License: • Candidates must possess a valid Massage License to practice in San Diego County Proficiency in the following areas is beneficial:

• Deep Tissue Massage – Demonstrated skill in deep tissue massage techniques
• Sports Massage – Experience and comprehension of sports massage therapy, including techniques for addressing sports-related injuries and enhancing athletic performance
• Therapeutic Massage – Ability to provide therapeutic massage to alleviate pain, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being
• Lymphatic Massage – Knowledge and proficiency in lymphatic massage techniques to support the body's natural detoxification process and immune function
• Medical Massage – Understanding and capability to perform medical massage techniques tailored to address specific conditions or injuries. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are also highly valued traits
